WHAT IS FRESHERS' WEEK?freshers' is a series of events taking place on campus and around Kingston for new students joining in September (and existing ones who want to join in on the fun too!). our events include a range of night life, day time activities and one of a kind experiences that you'll remember forever.

WHEN IS FRESHERS' WEEK?freshers’ week will run from 18th to 24th September. you can view all our events right here on our dedicated freshers' website.

WHAT IS A WRISTBAND?A wristband ticket gives you: - admission to all paid and free freshers' events announced at launch - free entry to all Pryzm events before 11pm - PLUS any and all added surprise events - keep an eye out! - you get one ticket for each event, so for example, a ticket for one night at the cinema, and for one game of laser tag.

WHERE CAN I COLLECT MY WRISTBAND?you can collect your wristband from the union reception from Tuesday 19th September between 10am - 4pm, or at the first event you attend.

CAN I BUY TICKETS IF I’M UNDER 18?Unfortunately, due to licensing restrictions in place at some venues, certain events in our line-up have been labelled as 18+. However, pop us a message to studentsunion@kingston.ac.uk and we can arrange a suitable wristband for you to purchase that reflects the events you'll be able to attend. Over 50% of our events will be suitable, so don't worry!

DO I NEED TO BRING ID?Yes, please bring ID when you collect your wristband, and to all events that require it. It's best to check the venues in advance if you're unsure.

ARE THERE ANY RULES FOR REFERRALS?you will only be rewarded for sales of wristbands. There will be no reward for any ticket sales. You are welcome to promote the Freshers’ wristband in official channels such as the Kingston University Freshers’ 2023 facebook page. However, please don’t do this via comments on our instagram posts. We will not reshare any posts on social media promoting your personal links. You will not be responsible for collection of, or handing out, wristbands. All wristbands will be collected from the Union of Kingston Students helpdesk during welcome week. You will be acting as a representative of the Union of Kingston Students. You must ensure that your communications when promoting the wristband are kind, respectful and clear. HOW DO I GET PAID FOR REFERRALS?Any successful purchases made from your referral link will be logged. On 1st October, you will receive details of the amount of successful purchase made through your referral link. We will detail the amount you have made as a result, and provide a blank invoice template with instructions on how to complete it. You will return the invoice to us, and receive the amount stated within 2 weeks of receipt.

HOW CAN I TELL IF AN EVENT IS AN OFFICIAL FRESHERS EVENT?If it isn't listed on this website kingstonfreshers.com or www.kingstonstudents.net, then it isn’t official. we can't guarantee that the event is legit or will even go ahead, so please don't waste your money. If you have any concerns that an event isn't official, then get in touch with us marketing@kingston.ac.uk

I MISSED FRESHERS’ FAIR, WILL I STILL BE ABLE TO JOIN A SPORTS CLUB OR SOCIETY?yep! you can join a sports club, society or community all year round. just head to our website and follow the steps to join, or head to our helpdesk at Penrhyn Road. you can find more out about our societies, sports clubs and communities over on our website: kingstonstudents.net.

HOW CAN I GET HOME AFTER EVENTS?Kingston has excellent public transport links which makes getting home simple - we recommend downloading the Citymapper app for getting out and about in Kingston and London.

WHY DO SOME EVENTS COST MONEY TO ATTEND?As we're a non-profit charity organisation, all income made from Freshers goes straight back into improving your experience as a student. Freshers' Week is a fundraising ticket for Union of Kingston Students.

I DON'T KNOW ANYONE. CAN I STILL ATTEND?of course! freshers is a great way to meet new people at Uni, most people that arrive don't know any others, so grab your tickets and be prepared to meet your mates for life.
